So I thought I'd be really cool and answer all the questions a good journalism student is trained to ask. However, now I've decided to just say what's on my mind at the moment.
I'd really like to say thank you to the group of people we currently have working on the concert and documentary. Everyone has been so wonderful to work with and it's been such a pleasure so far. I'm extremely excited and looking forward to seeing it all come together next Thursday night at Talbott Street.

So I touched on why I got involved in this project, now I want to address how I'm involved.
While I wouldn't go so far as to say that I'm an expert at logistics, I do really enjoy it. I love putting puzzles together and figuring out how to make things fit. Add to that my event management and PR background and I felt that this project was one where I could actually be of service and have fun doing it. And, it is most certainly fun!

I was recently asked why I got involved in a science project when I have little working knowledge of science. It’s a good question, and deserves some serious thought.
I recently went back to school (no, I’m not a science major) and have a new appreciation for education in general, so finding a way to help make a difference in educational opportunities seemed like a natural fit.
Growing up I was fascinated with the space program, perhaps in part because my grandpa worked for NASA in the early years. However, while I enjoyed math throughout high school, I was still more interested in English than science.
So, why Sounds for Science; why now? I’ve always wanted to help people and have always had dreams of doing good deeds on a large scale. But I’ve never acted until now. I’ve finally realized that helping out on a local level is the best place to start.
