Born and raised in New York, Ed Vichnick aka Love Lee has called Los Angeles home for the last 25+ years.

Ed's east coast hip hop music sensibilities are the foundation of The Smokering's signature sound.

Jason Kuhar aka KuHaR is a Southern California native.

Surrounded by music & film all his life, the influences on his music are endless...Miles, Herbie, McCartney, Zappa, CTI & more.

Jason is married, has a beautiful daughter, and both are a constant inspiration to his life and music.

Ray Burke - bass guitars & vocals

Ray grew up in the mid western town of Quincy,IL. and played in the hard rock/ metal band " Forever" there.

Since making the big move from Q town to Hollywood, Ca., he has played in various bands including "Warrior" and " Life After Death" as well as guesting on vocalists Rob Rock and Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson's solo albums.

Ray is in the final stages of his jazz/rock solo CD called "Humanity Street" that has guest artists from Roy Z( Bruce Dickinson/ Tribe Of Gypsies) to Azar Lawrence ( Miles Davis).

Ray recently joined The Smokering for live performances. Rehearsals for those gigs developed into incredible live, in-studio collaborations, and now he's a full-fledged member.

Lumis - turntables & mic

Born in Minneapolis and raised in San Diego, Lumis has been playing records since he was old enough to say "turntables."

He has graced stages large and small in some of LA's most infamous venues, sharing the bill with artists such as Slick Rick, Akil the MC (Jurassic 5), Sleepy Brown, Zion I, One Block Radius, Bicasso (Living Legends), 2Mex, and Dirty Walter (Fishbone).

Lumis defies traditional "dj" stereotyping, as this b-boy raps and freestyles while he's scratching, simultaneously ripping up the turntables and the microphone.
